Same Storytelling - A New Way to Capture It

Not Sure What to Wear?

Start With Neutrals

Neutral tones create a calm, cohesive look. Beautiful color choices include soft, earthy tones, such as cream, ivory, muted green, soft rust, or dusty blue.

These tones compliment skin tones, photograph softly, and blend naturally with outdoor settings.

What to Avoid

In most scenarios, these draw attention away from faces and emotion: busy patterns (flannel, plaid, distracting stripes, bold florals), harsh colors (neon and bright colors & harsh black and white combinations), and large graphics or logos.

If you notice the clothing before the people, it's too loud.

Coordinate, Don't Match

Instead of everyone wearing the same color, aim for a blended palette. Example: one person in cream, one in taupe, one in soft rust, and one in muted sage.

Different tones in the same softness create visually balanced photos.

Consider Texture & Movement

Outfits with movement and texture photograph beautifully. Examples: flowy dresses, chunky knits, button-downs in solid tones, and neutral cardigans or layers.

Texture adds depth without being distracting.
